Prices

Merchant bar prices have been increased by £30/t from 3rd January and this increase will be passed on fully into the market place. Strip mill prices are recovering very quickly from their December lull and this will be reflected in an increase in hollow sections during February. Heavy Section prices are also moving forward and it is currently rumoured that the mills may be looking for up to £50/t from 1st February. In the short term prices are definately increasing.

Supply

The supply side is much tighter but there should not be any significant shortages.

New Stock

We can now offer PRE GALVANISED hollow sections in bundle quantities.

STEEL BALLS 25mm to 70mm available ex stock.

Special Offers

We have now connected out shotblasting and preservation line on to the mains supply, we therefore have a generator for sale.

Details are as follows;

Motor: Deutz BF6M 1015 CP. Generator: Meco Alt Spa. Type: Eco 37-3L/4. Manufactured: 2000. Hours 9326. This cost us £16,000 in 2006 and we are looking for the best offer.

We also have one 19.2m span overhead crane for sale, 3t lifting capacity. This has served us well at Manse Lane in the past and is in excellent working order. If interested please contact the undersigned, we will consider any offers.

Following our stock take we have about 5 tonnes of miscellaneous sheets in 2000x1000 and 2500x1250mm. As a parcel e are prepared to clear these at £320/t which, as scrap is now at £225/t, is a great offer.
