Prices
Prices continue to ease during May, this is a carry on from April as competition between stockholders becomes fierce in quiet markets. Mills generally have not reduced prices and the underlying trend is for levels to remain stable and there are even moves to increase merchant bar prices during June.
Supply
Supply is generally in balance but we are watching the situation at Tata in Scunthorpe very closely. We await news of the rationalisation of sizes and specifications currently supplied.
Tomrods
We have been busy during May, not just from a delivery point of view but by looking for new sources of supply. We are now able to offer you PRE-GALVANISED tubes and box sections; STAINLESS STEEL tubes as well as large box sections up to 400 x 400. We will welcome your enquiries.
Legg Bros
We would like to congratulate our sister company Legg Bros for winning an Express and Star manufacturing award.
