Supply
No real problems, even with the slowing down of Chinese imports. The strength of the £ against the $ will continue to bring in imports from other third world countries.
Demand
Still slow but October was better than September, however all signs for the near future are still good and we look forward to an improvement up to Christmas.
Tomrods Limited
October with 23 days showed a considerable improvement on September (19 days). November has started well and we hope the Christmas holidays will not start earlier than usual this year.
Our golf competition was held at Flaxby Golf Club once more and the coveted Tomrods Shield was won by Laurence McDougall with 40 points. Overall first place went to Steve Scott (41 points) followed in third place by James Hall (39 points). It was great to welcome George Thompson (my 10 year old son) to the competition and he managed a creditable 28 points.
