Supply

Merchant Bar supply is in the balance at present. Heavy sections continue to be in tight supply over the next few months and hollow sections have a 10/12 week lead time from UK mills due to summer shutdowns. Chinese supply is under considerable pressure with the increase in duties, the lack of dock space and these have made it more likely to see a reduction in imports.

Demand
August was a slow month overall for demand. We expect customer demand to remain at current levels over the rest of quarter 3.

Tomrods Limited

The night shift continues to pay dividends and we continue to post positive financial results. Our long awaited computerupdate has been installed and is now working thanks to Melinda Bruce.
