British Steel make unprecedented withdrawl of December 2020 price announcement

British Steel have made what we believe to be a temporary withdrawl of the £30 per tonne price increase announced on 4th December. Tomrods advise caution to all of our customers when tendering for new projects until such time as clarity is received as to the mills intentions. Market information relating to UK stock levels and escalating raw materials costs suggest that the possibility of a higher level of increase being announced is highly likely.
