How the Reds were left singing the Blues!

Tomrods

Our two seven a side Reds & Blues house football teams are seen relaxing here after their latest match, held onsite at Tomrods, which the Blues won 4-3.

The Reds certainly led the way, opening the scoring with a well taken header from Neil Latcham before he was shipped off to casualty suffering with a dislocated shoulder! Further goals were then delivered by George Thompson (2) for the Reds and replies from Dave Edwards (2) plus Craig Monk saw the score all square at 3-3.

However, with just 10 minutes to go before the final whistle blew Lee White scored the Blues’ winner. The Reds frustratingly missed a couple of last minute chances to equalise the game but all credit to the Blues who valiantly hung on to register the overall match win.

Thanks to all the players and the cheery staff spectators but in particular thanks goes to Thomas McDougall for organising the game, to Keith McKee for refereeing and to Jurus Petrovs for barbecuing the great hot dogs and burgers that very nicely finished off another excellent and highly competitive Reds versus Blues Tomrods football match!
