With the original roof dating back the 1970’s it was beginning to show it’s age and as such work began on the total replacement on all warehouses in March of this year. As you can imagine removing the existing roof whilst protecting thousands of tonnes of steel and high value machinery was no easy task. However, with meticulous planning our appointed contractors F.R. Scott Roofing successfully overcame the challenging extremes from the “Beast from the East” in the first weeks of commencing works, to the one of the hottest summers in memory. Keeping our steel dry at times.
As well improving protection for all materials, the new roof provides much improved light, increasing energy efficiency and has been well received by all of our employees.
