The 51st Great Knaresborough Bed Race 2016

Likewise, Tomrods wishes to thank everyone who kindly made a donation in support of our Great Knaresborough Bed Race 2016 charity run for Open Arms Malawi. Our Tomrods ‘Men of Steel 2016’ aka Adam Barton, Daniel Groves, George Thompson, Jon Jacobs, Sally Dixon, Tom Cresswell & Tom McDougall were certainly all buzzing as they crossed the finishing line yesterday in a very respectable officially recorded time of 22 minutes & 34 seconds. There was a huge sense of camaraderie among fellow runners and the equally great support and encouragement directed towards our team from the side-lines was also very much appreciated.

Apologies if our Tomrods team didn’t give all of their friends, families & Tomrods colleagues a personal wave as they literally flew past you all at whatever crowded spot you were watching the charity run from. However, they were very happily spurred on by hearing all of your loud applauding cheers!

It was most definitely an experience that the Tomrods 2016 team will never forget but it feels even greater now for the team to know that the money raised by Tomrods’ involvement this year will once again help to make a difference to the lives of orphaned and abandoned children placed in the care of Open Arms Malawi.

Our trusty Tomrods bed of steel is now safely back in store at our works in Thirsk but no doubt it will be fighting fit and ready too when the call comes again to take on the 2017/52nd Great Knaresborough Bed Race challenge in support of our associated chosen and very worthy charity!
