The Tomrods Steel Handicap

The Tomrods Steel Handicap

Tomrods was only too delighted to take the opportunity to sponsor the 16.40 Tomrods Steel Handicap at our recent customer invitation day at Thirsk Racecourse on Friday 1st August 2014. Hot Spice a six year old gelding trained by Mick Easterby at his yard in nearby Sheriff Hutton & ridden by Kieren Fallon won the two mile longest race of the day in a recorded time of 3m 36.64s.

The race meeting itself proved to be great fun for Tomrods colleagues & customers alike. Despite a couple of heavy rain showers mid-afternoon judging by the whoops and hollers from the crowd there were a few other lucky punters on the day too?!
