TOMRODS ARE GO!

We do hope that you can come to watch and support us on the day as we take part in this notoriously gruelling time trial, which is over a 2.4 mile course, ending with a swim through the icy waters of the River Nidd. However, it will be even greater if you can also help us with our goal to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity in advance of this year’s event by kindly donating to the very worthy cause for which we are running.

Open Arms Malawi believes that every child has a right to life, survival and development. They provide medical attention, shelter, food and love to some of Malawi’s orphaned and abandoned children and work tirelessly to ensure that the children in their care have the chance to grow up with the love of a family and the security of a good home.

Every single day, thousands of children in Malawi are orphaned or abandoned. By taking part in the Great Knaresborough Bed Race we the ‘Tomrods Are Go’ Bed Race Team aka, Adam Barton, Agnes Butowska, Laura Stephenson, Michelle Jepson, Sally Dixon, Sandra Malecka and Sarah Pritchard wish to raise a wider awareness of this issue and to provide additional necessary funds to help Open Arms Malawi to be there for more of Malawi’s vulnerable children.
