Tomrods Moves To Thirsk

UK stockholder Tomrods has completed its relocation to a nine acre site in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, the company tells Steel Business Briefing.
The move, which has increased warehousing space from 52,000 sq.ft to 80,000 sq.ft and expanded cutting capacity by 50%, was finalised on Saturday 16 October 2010.
Tomrods stocks merchant bar, sections, hollow sections and strip mill products. Prior to the move, it distributed around 26,000 tonnes/year of material from its sites in Knaresborough and Thirsk, as previously reported.
