TOMRODS LTD and ALL STEELS TRADING LTD

The shareholders of Tomrods Ltd and All Steels Trading Ltd have agreed to exchange shares so that 100% of Tomrods Ltd is owned by John Thompson and All Steels Trading Ltd is owned by Laurence McDougall. Over the last 12 years both companies have flourished but now they both need to go their separate ways so that Tomrods can develop its stockholding and processing activities and All Steels the bulk import/export trading business. In addition Steelstock Services (Midlands) Ltd will be controlled by All Steels and there are no further ties with Tomrods Ltd.
Tomrods has already appointed 2 new directors and more appointments will follow so that we are securing the long term future of the company, but, at the same time, reducing my personal workload.
From a financial viewpoint there will be no change as both companies have strong balance sheets and have had separate banking arrangements with HSBC for several years.
Tomrods has a strong, experienced and fully committed management team and we have exciting plans to take the company forward over the next 10 years. I will continue to carry on as Chairman and Managing Director and use my 47 years working in the steel industry to help Tomrods to grow and face the ever changing world that we live in.
