Shot-blasting and painting preservations services
Our fully automated 6 turbine Gietart shot-blasting, primer painting and drying line is capable of processing materials up to 20,000mm long, 1500mm wide and 400mm high. The shot blasting, painting and drying line is located at the very centre of our processing facility, feeding saws and drills to ensure materials remain under cover and are fully traceable at all times.
We also offer a “free issue” service where customers can supply their own steel for shot blasting.
Upon entry to the system, all materials are pre-heated to the optimum temperature to ensure an even application through the shot blasting machine. Shot-blasted steel is then fed into the steel painting preservation line where four automated spray guns are used for paint spraying and sensors are used to eliminate spraying from one or both flanges of a beam if required. The steel is finished with a primer coat of approximately 25 microns of dry film, which acts as a transit primer.
We can offer a choice of red, grey and black paint as standard and can provide custom paint colours on request.
In line with our commitment to the environment, our steel primers are water based, odourless and environmentally friendly.
